Education:

At a young age I was exposed to artistic practices such as drawing and painting. As my interest grew I was taught how to render these media by close family members. I continued to practice through high school and received a BFA in painting & printmaking at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2004. My career was focused on surreal and medically influenced subjects until my wife asked if I would paint a portrait of her coworker's dog. I know all to well how much a pet can influence our lives and have dedicated this avenue of work to them; man's eternal friend.
